Jimmy Gabriel is our Director of Coaching – he is a
highly respected coach in both America and England. His playing career began
in his native Scotland who he represented at schoolboy, under-23 and at full
national level. Jimmy played over 700 games in an 18 year professional career.
Highlights included a Premier League Championship Medal and an FA Cup Winners
Medal – both with Everton. Toward the end of a marvelous playing career
he moved to the States – played and later coached the Seattle Sounders of the
North American Soccer League. Jimmy was also Head Coach at San Jose Earthquakes
and Assistant Coach at Everton. He coached the US under-16 National Team as
well as the University of Washington’s Men’s and Women’s programs and also operated as the Coaching Director of Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association. Typical of a
of a man who loves the game – he is presently coaching both a
youth team as well as continuing his long standing relationship as coach with
the Seattle Sounders.

George Walker is a native of the north east of England -
with over 20 years of coaching experience in youth soccer both here and in the
UK. He is currently the Head Coach with Bellevue Community College Women’s
program and as our Director is the man responsible for pulling together the
many talents that have made this coaching program by Sports Coaching Academy
a reality.

Jeff Koch is currently enjoying his sixteenth year as goalkeeper
coach with Seattle University and has helped the Men’s program improve
all the way to two National Championships. During this time he has also guided
four young goalkeepers to All American status. Jeff himself was a regional All
American whilst at the University of Washington and his huge talents as a goalkeeper
allowed him to enjoy a very successful professional career with the Seattle
Storm.

Another native of Washington on our team is Michelle French.
Michelle was a four year starter at the University of Portland and appeared
in three NCAA ‘final fours’. She was a member of a very successful
US under-21 team and as a four year captain led the side to championship winning
performances in the prestigious Nordic Cup – in Denmark in 1997 and in
Iceland two years later. Michelle made her full US National team debut when
she was called to play against England in 1997 and won a silver medal at the
2000 Olympic Games – with the US national team finishing as runners-up to Norway.
She has played professionally since the Sydney Olympics for Washington Freedom;
the San Jose Cyberays; as well as the Seattle Sounders.

The next member of the SCA team is Robbie Walker. His story
illustrates the growing respect for US soccer in the world arena. After a very
promising high school and youth club career here in the States he traveled to
the UK and was given professional trials with a number of famous clubs –
including Bolton and Middlesbrough of the English Premier League. After representing
Grimsby Town he returned home and continues to play and coach in the Seattle
area. Robbie is a qualified full service financial broker and will operate as
our director of marketing.

Our Fitness expert is Julie Haiwick. Julie is a professional
health, wellness and physical fitness coordinator and instructor. We are very
fortunate to have been able to combine Julie’s expertise in the field
of exercise physiology with our knowledge of the specific needs of soccer players
to develop the very best exercises and techniques to use in the area of speed,
agility and balance in soccer.

Q: “Can I give my password to a friend”?”

A: “No. Your password is for your use only. If a friend would like to become a member and use the services of SCA then please ask them to subscribe today”.

Q: “Can I copy the material on the website?”

A: “The material that is available to copy is identified as such. For example, the Coaches Notes may be printed and used for your convenience – we have identified this by including a “Printable Version” notation at this point on the site. Other material, such as the streaming video cannot be copied for later use.”

Q: “Will I need to inform you if I wish to continue with my membership at the renewal date?”

A: “No. It is not necessary to notify us about renewal of membership. We will automatically renew your membership unless we hear from you otherwise. You may cancel at any time”

Q: “I do not wish to pay online using a credit card. Is it possible to pay by check?”

A: “Yes, you can send a check to us if you prefer to pay by that method. We will activate your membership and send you your unique password after we receive the check. Please be aware, however, that it may take up to 7 business days to activate your membership and any check returned to us by your financial institution with payment declined will result in a $25 fee and your membership will be automatically suspended until we receive this fee.”

Q: “What credit cards do you accept?”

A: “We accept Visa and MasterCard.”

Q: “Can I purchase online with confidence in this system of payment?”

A: “Our payment delivery system is by ‘YourPay’ which is highly respected company in the online business word. We use a system that secures all credit card purchases.”

Q: “Is my privacy protected if I subscribe to this website?”

A: “Absolutely. We will not furnish any information that you give to us upon subscription to any third party. Your personal information is confidential and we have no interest or desire to share any such data with any other entity.”

Q: “Can my membership be terminated by SCA?”

A: “SCA reserves the right to terminate your membership at any time if we consider that you have violated any of the terms and conditions of your membership agreement with SCA.”

Q: “What material can I expect to find on the Community Board of the website?”

A: “SCA has featured a Community Board on the website as a means of communication between all of the members. However; we are not responsible for the material that is posted on the Community Board. Furthermore SCA reserves the right to remove any material that in our opinion is not appropriate for the readership.”

Q: “Will the staff of SCA respond to the discussions on the Community Board?”

A: “It is not our intention to respond to each and every posting on the Community Board. We may respond, but, ask that you do not anticipate that we will respond. This communication tool is primarily intended as a great way for our members to network ideas, thoughts, exchange points of interest and so on.”

Q: “What if I change my operating system and can no longer download the material?”

A: “We are not responsible for the technology that you are using to access the website and we also reserve the right to disclaim any operating problems related to the website that are beyond our control.”

Q: “If my system is down for a while will I receive a refund from SCA for this period of down time?”

A: “No. SCA is not responsible for the system you use or any problems that you may encounter with your personal hardware.”

Q: “Can I receive a refund if I decide after having subscribed that I no longer wish to continue with the service?”

A: “The Free Tour component of the website is intended to allow you to look at a sample of the services provided and to give an outline of the contents of the website. Please be sure to fully examine the content outline before purchasing a subscription as there will be no refunds.”

Q: “What are the system and browser requirements that I will need to be able to download the streaming video contained in the website?”

A: “Any version of windows media player will work, however we do highly recommend getting the latest version here for free.

Q: “Why cant I see the Video Key points?”

A: You may be using Fire Fox for your internet browsing. We are large fans of Fire Fox yet have been unable to determine the reason that our media player key points will not display when the site is viewed in Fire Fox.
